The Federal Government of Nagaland (FGN), under the leadership of Brig (Retd) S Singnya, Kedahge, has appointed Khahpa Phom, son of Khamlu from Aoching village, as the Midan Peyu for the Phom Region with effect from January 7, 2025.
In a statement issued by the Ministry of Raliwali Affairs, the FGN has appealed to the Phom People’s Council (PPC) to extend their cooperation to the newly appointed Midan Peyu “for the cause of our Nation.”
In a parallel announcement, the FGN has terminated Chuba Kumzuk Phom, Kilonser, from the Federal Government of Nagaland for what it described as “anti-Government activities,” effective the same date.
