The Nagaland Pulp and Paper Company Limited (NPPCL), Tzudikong, more commonly known as Tuli Paper Mill, was established in 1971, which started commercial production in 1982. However, due to lack of power supply and continued operating losses, the paper mill suspended its operational activities from October 1992 onwards. After several revival plans over the years, the National Company Law Tribunal (NCTL) in 2019 ordered liquidation of the Hindustan Paper Corporation Ltd. (HPCL), of which the NPPCL is a subsidiary.
