Mokokchung, 22 May (MTNews): Kivini Shohe, who is attending the ongoing Cannes Festival in France while interacting with DD India today shared her experience in the festival where she said that filmmaking in Nagaland is still at a very ‘nascent stage’.
“When it comes to films, Nagaland is at a very nascent stage,” she said, adding, “Regarding film policies and film shooting, I think discussion is going on among the government and policy makers. They have also included the filmmakers in the discussion. I see a bright future for Nagaland when it comes to films. Our locations are a bit difficult to access but I always think that nothing is impossible”.
Shohe has been a filmmaker for about twenty-five years and is representing Nagaland at the ongoing Cannes Festival together with Nagaland actress Andrea Kevichusa. The festival began on 16 May and will conclude on 27 May.
