Mangmetong, 31 March (MTNews): The Government High School, Mangmetong celebrated Poshan Pakhwada 2023 on 31 March at the school. The event was organized and initiated by the Social Welfare Department, Mokokchung.
Nka Chishi (Supervisor Ongpangkong South) ICDS chaired the program and welcomed the gathering.
Meyalemla Ao (CDPO Ongpangkong South) ICDS gave a short talk about the objectives of celebration of Poshan Pakhwada. She emphasized on the importance of living a healthy lifestyle especially for adolescent girls so as to lead a healthy reproductive life.
Short speech was delivered by Tongpangkokba Ao Lusang (SSO GHS Mangmetong). He thanked the Social Welfare Department for the program.
Dr Arie (PHC Mangmetong) enlightened the gathering on anemia – its symptoms, causes, and risk involved when endemic and how to prevent from anemia.
