The staff of GHS Saring have expressed their deepest sorrow and outrage over the heinous act committed against a 3-year-and-4-month-old girl student on August 10, 2024, by 33-year-old Moakaba.

“The unspeakable incident involving the sexual assault of a young, innocent girl student is a crime of the most grievous nature and has shocked and devastated our entire school community,” the statement said.

“As educators and caretakers, our primary duty is to protect and nurture the children entrusted to us. We are deeply distressed that such a vile act was committed against a vulnerable member of our school. Our hearts go out to the child and her family during this incredibly difficult time, and we stand in full support of them as they seek justice,” the staff added.

The staff called on the authorities to take swift and decisive action to ensure the perpetrator is held accountable to the fullest extent of the law. “Such heinous acts have no place in our society, and it is our collective responsibility to protect the innocence and dignity of every child,” they said.

Furthermore, the statement urged the community to join in condemning the crime and to work together to create a safer environment for children. “This incident serves as a stark reminder of the need for continued vigilance and the importance of fostering a culture where children can grow free from fear and harm. Our school is committed to providing all necessary support to the child and her family and will cooperate fully with any agency involved in bringing justice. Let us all unite in prayer, reflection, and action to ensure that justice is served and that such shameless acts never occur again,” the statement added.
