Tuli, May 1 (MTNews): Ayushman Bharat Block Health Mela in commemoration of 75th Azadi Ka Amrit Mahostav concluded at Tuli CHC, Mokokchung on 30 April 2022. The health mela was conducted at all the blocks of Mokokchung District namely, Sabangya, Changtongya, Alongkima, Mangkolemba, Tsurangkong and Tuli from 25-30 April 2022.
The government of India along with the Department of health and family welfare has adopted this strategy of organizing Health mela to provide health education besides providing health care services free of cost. This Health mela attract thousands of people desiring to avail quality health care services with essential tests and medicines. The mela also helped informing people about the various health programs being carried out.
All health service, which included free medical checkup & treatment, free spectacle, counseling, creation of Unique Health ID under ABDM & facilitate provision of Ayushman Bharat Card under AB-PM-JAY.
Over 1500 of the population participated during the 6(Six) day health mela conducted at 6 Blocks of Mokokchung District, while over 300 Ayushman Bharat cards and Unique Health IDs were generated.
Led by Dr R Chubala Aier Chief Medical Officer Mokokchung, DPOs, SMOs, MOs & staff and staff from Allied departments worked tirelessly to provide quality and accessible Health care services to the community.
This health mela has proved to be successful not only in disseminating information on health but also in providing actual services to the people.
