Mokokchung, 18 September (MTNews): The Indian Swachhata League 2.0 kick started today at Imkongmeren Sports Complex, Mokokchung where Ward Authorities and youth volunteers from all the 18 Wards attended.

Delivering a short speech, ADC & Administrator, Mokokchung Municipal Council, Chumlamo Humtsoe asked the citizens of Mokokchung town to come together by putting their efforts to showcase Mokokchung as one of the cleanest places not only in Nagaland but in the country as well.
Youth being the “powerhouse of the movement,” the ADC asked the young people of Mokokchung Town to be warriors in fighting against garbage. He asked them to use their creative minds for good and productivity in the society.
The Administrator said that more than 4000 cities including Mokokchung are participating in the Swachhata competition. Humtsoe noted that Mokokchung being considered the cleanest town in the state should live up to its name. The Swachhata Pledge was administered to the participants led by the Administrator and Team Captain. Changsen Pongen presented the Theme Song.
The Indian Swachhta League 2.0 kick off was followed by the volunteers cleaning the Imkongmeren Sports Complex. All the volunteers thereafter proceeded to their respective wards and continued with the swachhta activities in their respective wards.
