Pfustsero, 25 May (MTNews): An installation program for the office bearers of the Chakhesang Scholars’ Forum (CSF) for the tenure 2024 to 2027, cum sharing of research experiences, was held on Saturday, 25 May, at Pfutsero Government College.

CSF Chairman Dr. Zavise Rume, in his keynote address, said the CSF was formed on April 29, 2021, and the first team of office bearers was installed on the same day at Pfutsero Government College, Pfutsero.

He stated that the forum has one clear agenda: to promote healthy interactions among its members and to encourage teaching, research, publication, and extension programs like seminars and workshops.

The forum aims to promote scientific and empirical facts in the academic and research fields. He called upon the members to play a proactive role and join hands to advance the forum’s objectives.

Advisor CSF Hüsazü Epao, in a brief exhortation, remarked that the forum’s name is highly respectable and urged the members to think seriously and undertake meaningful actions. Epao added that the forum should become a repository of information beneficial to the community.

He further expressed concern about the quality of research and called for a renewed focus on rigorous research.

President of the Chakhesang Public Organisation, Vezuhu Keyho, in his greetings, stated that the CSF is a respectable organization and should continue to progress and deepen its impact.

Pointing out the lack of documentation in the community, he emphasized that the forum is essential and should function as a research center and think tank.

Nüveta Khüsoh, Secretary (Academic) of the CSF, gave a welcome note. Wepekhro Wetsah, CSF General Secretary, presented the secretary and treasurer reports.

Rev. Dr. Kuzhopoyo Tunyi, Pastor at Chakhesang Baptist Church Council Mission Centre Church, prayed for the newly nominated office bearers.

The Search Committee for the new CSF office bearers included Hüsazü Epao as Convenor, Medozü Mero and Dr. Neizo Puro as members, and Dr. Zavise Rume as an Ex-officio Member.

The CSF office bearers for the tenure 2024 to 2027 will be led by Dr. Zavise Rume as Chairman; Dr. Hüsazülü C. Khamo as Vice Chairman; Neipre-ü Mero as General Secretary; Dr. Tsutshowe-ü Sekhamo as Secretary (Academic Journal Publication); Dr. Gideon Phesao as Secretary (Statistics); Rukuzo Ruho as Secretary (Finance); Reyivolü Rhakho as Secretary (Press & Media); and Dr. Meyietsolo Ritse as Treasurer.

Following the installation program, research experiences were shared by Rukuzo Ruho, Associate Professor at Baptist Theological College, Pfutsero, and Dr. Zavise Rume, Professor at SCERT Nagaland. The session was moderated by Chothazo Nienu, Assistant Professor, Department of Economics, Pfutsero Government College.
