Mokokchung, March 2 (MTNews): While conveying its gratitude to the people of Nagaland who voted in favour of their party in the just concluded election to the 14th Nagaland Legislative Assembly, the Janata Dal United, Nagaland has said that it may not be able to “deliver justice to the manifesto upon which the election was fought” due to “inconsiderable representation” in the Assembly.

The JDU contested the election with the theme “Development with Justice” but managed to win only one seat despite fielding 7 candidates.
However, the JDU promised to “continue to pursue its goal which is for an all round development sans corruption.”

The JDU Nagaland president NSN Lotha and general secretary Imsumongba Pongen also congratulated Jwenga Seb, the lone winner from the JDU from 12-Tseminyu AC.

The JDU also appealed to one and all to accept the people’s mandate and refrain from indulging in any post election vandalism and violence but work hard for the next five years “so that a better result and response from the electorates will be availed.”
