Mokokchung, February 16 (MTNews): A joint declaration program of 23 Impur Assembly Constituency organized by Süngratsü Village Council and Süngratsü Citizens Conference for Indian National Congress (INC) candidate Bendangkokba (IAS Retd.) and Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) candidate TN Mannen (IAS Retd.) was held at Senden Salang, Süngratsü Village on Thursday.

Bendangkokba, during his address stated that rural areas should have the same amenities like urban areas adding that if given the mandate of the people, he would focus on the academic excellence of the youths while further stressing that to bring development, understanding the need of the people and consultation with the grassroots is of utmost importance.

 

TN Mannen in his speech highlighted that development is the need of the hour and if given the mandate of the people, his passion of developing and empowering the citizens of the constituency would be achieved by bringing various applicable central government schemes in addition to state government schemes with importance given to agriculture and allied sectors.

 

During the program, a dedicatory prayer was pronounced by Lolensobo Walling, Associate Pastor, Süngratsü Baptist Arogo while Limasashi Ozüküm, President SSM delivered a brief exhortation and Taka Longchar, Council Chairman gave a briefing on the guidelines of Süngratsü Yimden to conduct free and fair elections.

 

 

TN Mannen declaration held at Yisemyong

 

Later in the day, a candidate declaration program for TN Mannen was held at Community Hall, Yisemyong where he stated that even after losing three consecutive times, he is contesting in the General elections for the fourth time because of his passion to serve the people of 23 Impur AC. He further praised Nagaland Chief Minister Rio for providing him with the NDPP ticket and said he aims to promote skill development to empower the citizens of the constituency for achieving self reliance if the people give their mandate.

 

During the program, short speeches were delivered by Rongsentemsü, ATC Member, Aowati Ozüküm, Imsuchuba TT, T Chuba Lkr TT, NDPP Mokokchung Region, BJP Mokokchung District, NDPP Central, T Sashimongba and NDPP Women Organization.
