Mokokchung, February 16 (MTNews): The National People’s Party (NPP) candidate from 24 Angetyongpang Assembly Constituency, S Maongkaba Ozukum, declared his candidature today at Yaongyimti Old and New, Phangsang and Chakpa villages.
While addressing the gathering, the candidate S Maongkaba Ozukum stated his willingness to be the servant of the constituency people and shared his vision to improve road connectivity for better communication and development of the area. He also shared his desire to improve the economy, develop better educational sector, provide skill development for self-sustenance of the youth, introduction of solar energy harvesting, develop tourism-related infrastructures, to empower women, to create Phangsang as an EAC administrative post, to promote more cultural and communal harmony between the Aos and the Changs , and to establish a 24 Angetyongpang AC office in Kohima where the grievances of the constituency people can be addressed.
Earlier, short speeches were delivered by ex-candidate Sashimar, Ramok and hosts of supporters.
The declaration function at Yaongyimti Old was chaired by C Moasenla, welcome address by village council chairman, M Yanger while the candidature of S Maongkaba Ozukum from the NPP ticket was pronounced by NPP 24 Angetyongpang AC President, Aosanen.
Vote of thanks was proposed by VCM N Phanyan followed by the invocation and benediction by Pastor R Moa and APW C Anungla, respectively. Special songs were also presented by Purkumzuk Jamir and Yaongyimti Students’ Union.
