The Kohima District Athletics Association (KDAA) conducted its 2nd General Meeting on May 25 at Neilazetuo Khezhie’s residence in Dzüziezou, D-Khel, Kohima Village.

A press release issued by KDAA General Secretary Leketoulie Liezietsu informed that Mhonsao Ngullie, Secretary General of the Nagaland Athletics Association, was the observer of the meeting and commended the initiatives and activities of the KDAA.

Ngullie congratulated the KDAA for successfully conducting the recent Kids Athletic Day, adding that the KDAA is also one of the most active associations under Nagaland Athletics. Furthermore, he highlighted the proper procedure for the affiliation of associations to the state association.

The meeting was chaired by Neingusalie Khoubve, while the welcome address was delivered by Luoselie Phewhuo. The secretary’s report was presented by Leketoulie Liezietsu, General Secretary, and the treasurer’s report was presented by Kenonguto Thokhwe.

During the business hour, the meeting was presided over by Thepfungunyü Solo, President of the KDAA.

The update stated that the association also discussed and resolved to conduct the Kohima inter-school athletics meet this year, with selected athletes participating in the National Inter-District Junior Athletic Meet (NIDJAM) and the East Zone meet.
