Kohima, 10 December (MTNews): Kenilelie (Kenny) Soru won the title of Mr Nagaland 2023 during the 5th Mr Nagaland 2023 competition held at the Naga Heritage Village, Kisama, as part of the Hornbill Festival 2023 on Saturday evening.
He clinched the coveted title, accompanied by a cash prize of Rs 50,000 along with the trophy and commendations. The second position went to Moamanen Tzudir, while Bendangsunep Longkumer claimed the third spot.
In the preceding rounds, Kenilelie Soru won the first place in the 80 kg and above category, while Moamanen Tzudir and Bendangsunep Longkumer won in the 75kg and 65 kg category respectively, all vying for the Mr Nagaland title.
The event was organized by the Nagaland Bodybuilding & Fitness Association under the theme “Rethink, Rebuild, Reveal.”
Meanwhile, in the second edition of women’s model physique category, Lily Hashnu secured the top position, followed by Etsiben Ngullie in second place. In the men’s open physique competition, Moamanen Tzudir emerged as the winner, with Viena V Aye securing the second position and Kikrukhrielie Dzeyie claiming the third spot.
MLA Benei M Lamthiu, graced the occasion as the special guest for the event.
