Deputy Commissioner of Kohima, Kumar Ramnikant IAS, has issued a notice stating that mobile, telecom, internet, and cable TV service providers are randomly installing their connections in and around Kohima Municipality, resulting in the defacement of property and obstruction of public pathways, with the potential to cause danger or injury to individuals.

Therefore, in the interest of public safety, it has been directed that all service providers remove, streamline, or arrange all such loose-hanging or randomly installed wires and ensure that they are both aesthetic and safe on or before 16th November 2024.

Defaulters will be penalized as per the relevant sections of the law.
