The Kohima District Volleyball Association (KDVA) observed its 21st Foundation Day at Sithie Park, Tsiesema Basa, on September 5.

Addressing the gathering, Visasilie Suhu, president of the Nagaland Volleyball Association (NVA) and advisor to KDVA, highlighted the importance and benefits of volleyball and its various aspects.
He urged KDVA members and trained referees to sincerely discharge their duties whenever called upon and encouraged members to contribute towards upcoming tournaments.
In his presidential address, KDVA president Mhalelhou Mere sought the support of individuals towards the upcoming G. Rio Memorial Volleyball Trophy, also known as the 13th Kohima Open Volleyball Tournament, scheduled to be held in the last week of October 2026 at Khuochiezie (Kohima Local Ground).
The programme was chaired by KDVA technical secretary Vilesii Mekro, while the vote of thanks was proposed by KDVA vice president (Sport) Neivikhotuo Vielie.
