Kohima Police have seized a large quantity of suspected counterfeit cosmetic and beauty products from five shops and arrested five persons in connection with the case.

According to a press release issued by the PRO, specific checks were carried out at five shops in the Razhü Point and Y-Junction areas. During the raid, police recovered a huge quantity of cosmetic products allegedly being sold under reputed brand names.
A case has been registered at North Police Station under relevant sections of the law, and further investigation is underway.
Kohima Police have advised citizens to purchase cosmetics only from authorised sellers and to verify the authenticity of products before buying. The public has also been urged to report any suspicious items to the nearest police station.
