The Li-Ning 46th Inter-District & State Badminton Championship, hosted by the Nagaland Police and sponsored by Li-Ning, commenced on July 30, 2024, at NAPTC, Chümoukedima.

Li-Ning 46th Inter-District & State Badminton Championship kicks off in Chümoukedima

Over 186 players from 14 districts, including the Nagaland Police team, are participating in the championship, which will run until August 2.

The number of teams from each district is as follows:

Chümoukedima – 13

Dimapur – 15

Kiphire – 4

Kohima – 22

Longleng – 11

Mokokchung – 22

Mon – 11

Nagaland Police – 7

Niuland – 10

Peren – 18

Phek – 16

Shamator – 9

Tsemenyu – 16

Wokha – 3

and Zunheboto – 9.

In total, there are 125 male and 61 female players.

The championship will feature Senior and Junior categories, including Men’s and Women’s Singles, Doubles, Mixed Doubles, and Junior Boys’ and Girls’ U-19 Singles and Doubles.

The inaugural ceremony began with an invocation by the Pastor of Nagaland Police, Chümoukedima. The participating teams, the Nagaland Police team, and officials from the Nagaland Badminton Association attended the opening match.
