The Langpangkong Kaketshir Mungdang (LKM), founded in 1948, observed its Foundation Day on June 21, coinciding with the presentation of the Lt. L. Pangersowa Jamir Trust Award for Academic Excellence and its ongoing ‘Clean Election’ campaign. The event was held at the Jubilee Memorial Hall of Chuchuyimlang Town Baptist Church.
Dr. Yashizüngla Yaden, PGT of MGHSS, was the honoured guest, while Temjen Longkumer, pastor of Nükshiyim Baptist Church, served as the main speaker. Satemmongba, General Secretary of AKM, also exhorted the gathering. Village authority elders and student body leaders from all the villages under the Langpangkong range attended the event.
The LKM Clean Election campaign was launched in July 2017. Two NBSE/HSLC toppers, Akümmeren Longkumer (Wameken), and Mereninla Pongen (Mongsenyimti) were presented the Academic Excellence award.
