To rally support for the People’s Democratic Alliance (PDA) consensus candidate Dr Chumben Murry in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio is slated to address a mass gathering in Mokokchung. With just two weeks remaining before Nagaland heads to the polls on 19 April, the PDA government is gearing up to launch the campaign with a mass rally at the Town Hall in Mokokchung on 5 April 2024, starting at 10:00 am.

The mass rally, scheduled to commence in Mokokchung and extend across all districts in the state, marks the beginning of a concerted effort to galvanize support for Dr Chumben Murry’s candidacy.

The event will be presided over by Metsubo Jamir, Minister of Rural Development & SIRD, with contributions from prominent political figures including NPF legislator Kuzholuzo Nienu, NCP legislator Nuklutoshi, and BJP legislator Imkong L Imchen, who are expected to deliver brief speeches.

Chingwang Konyak, Chairman of PDA and President of NDPP, alongside Dr Chumben Murry, the PDA consensus candidate, will also address the rally, articulating the campaign’s key messages and rallying support from the electorate.

It may be mentioned that a PDA Consultative meeting was convened in Mokokchung today, led by Metsubo Jamir, Minister of Rural Development & SIRD, and attended by legislators from the Mokokchung district under the convenorship of Metsubo Jamir.
