Mokokchung, 3 April (MTNews): In view of the 18th Lok Sabha General Election 2024, Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer (DC & DEO) of Mokokchung, Thsuvisie Phoji, has announced that the 2nd Phase Training for all polling personnel is scheduled for 5 and 6 April 2024.
On 5 April, training for presiding officers (both male & female) will commence at 9:30 am at Mayangnokcha GHSS, followed by the first polling officers (both male & female) at 12:00 noon at the same venue.
On 6 April, training for second and third polling officers (both male & female) will begin at 10:00 am at Mayangnokcha GHSS, Mokokchung.
All polling personnel are required to submit form-12A along with a photocopy of their EPIC Card/Service ID Card to avail of the Election Duty certificate. Individuals who failed to submit two passport photographs during the first phase of training may also do so for the Election Duty ID Card, it was informed.
Furthermore, all concerned departmental Nodal Officers were instructed to inform all requisitioned officials of their respective departments regarding the aforementioned training schedule.
Strict action will be taken against absentees as per Section 134 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951, it was informed.
