The Department of History, Dimapur Government College inaugurated its MA (History) programme under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 on Monday.
The programme was formally inaugurated by Dr T Tiakaba Jamir, Principal of Dimapur Government College, in the presence of heads of departments, faculty members, staff and newly admitted postgraduate students of the MA programme.
The college said the introduction of the postgraduate programme marks a significant milestone for the institution and the Department of History.
The department and the Principal expressed gratitude to Minister for Higher Education and Tribal Affairs, Temjen Imna Along; Ex-Officio Director of Higher Education, V Lovitoly Sema; the Vice Chancellor of Nagaland University; and officials of the department for their support in making the programme a reality.
