Khensa, 25 March (Mokokchung): Marepkong Youth Ministry organized a ‘Handshake Ministry’ event in collaboration with Khensa Youth Ministry on 25 March at Khensa Village Ground under the theme “Witnessing Christ through Sports.”
The event was aimed to instill values of love, teamwork, and spread the message of love and faith among the participating youth. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from both ministries, with three teams formed, comprising members from both Marepkong and Khensa Youth Ministries.
A plethora of engaging activities and games such as tunnel ball, left right race, hurdle obstacle race, catch me, tic tac toe, into the circle, spoon race rally, lightning reflect, cardboard race, bund penalty shoot, nail it, and tug-of-war were organized, promoting teamwork and healthy competition.
Takatoshi Jamir, Youth Pastor of Marepkong Youth Ministry urged the gathering to embrace love in all their endeavors and to remain faithful and committed in their mission to spread God’s love.
Ajay, Coordinator of Marepkong Youth Ministry, highlighted the significance of the Handshake Ministry in strengthening the bond between the two ministries, underlining how it fosters a sense of unity and shared purpose.
He emphasized the mutual commitment to collaborate further in the future, expressing eagerness to explore new avenues of cooperation and support to enrich both ministries’ outreach and impact within the community.
A total of 170 members from both ministries participated in the Handshake Ministry event, exhibiting their enthusiasm and dedication towards spreading positivity and faith through sports.
As the event concluded, winning teams were acknowledged, and prizes were distributed equitably, symbolizing the spirit of unity and inclusivity that prevailed throughout the event.
