Tsüngi Long:
The story behind “Tsungi Long” or “The Rain Stone” involves the ‘Naroyimba Zungar’ of ‘Medemsanger Putu’ (Medemsanger Era, 1780 A.D). Legends has it that this particular stone, obtained from ‘Milak river,’ is mystic, causing immediate downpour when shaken. In days of old, during dry spells, the village elders (Putir) would worship and pour water over the stone, resulting in bounteous rain subsequently.
This stone was laid down on 2nd August, 2016 by Wabong Imtidongba Aoli Aola Ungma.

 

Jubilee Monument:
A monument of the Mokokchung Senso Kaketshir Telongjem (MSKT), stands tall on the hills of Mokokchung village, symbolizing a resolve to bring about change in the village.
The pen, book and the figure ’75’ signifies the 75 glorious years of building and nurturing students in the field of education and contributing towards building society.
The monument was commemorated in 2017 while MSKT turned 75 years. However its formal inauguration was held on 11th December, 2021

 

Mongsen Salang:
A raised platform made of stone, also known as ‘Mongsen Salang’ was built during the inception of the village. This platform is used by Putu Menden (Village Council) while making important decisions. Any resolve on this platform is considered rigid and resolute.

Mokokchung Jungli Mepungsanger Putu Log Drum:
A log drum, constructed during the era of ‘Mokokchung Jungli Mepungsanger Putu’ on 5th February, 1960, still stands regal and sturdy after more than 60 years.
