Mecievi, a promising player from Kohima, Nagaland, came on during the second half of the game between Thonburi United and Assumption United, helping secure a 4-1 away victory for his team.

He is the first player from Nagaland to represent a professional club abroad in a major national league, according to a press release issued by SC Nagaland Thonburi United.

Mecievi was selected in February during a trial event called Nagaland’s Next Top Player in Kohima, organized by Thonburi United FC and the Department of Youth Resources and Sports, Government of Nagaland, in collaboration with SC Nagaland and Nagaland FA.
