Kohima, February 8 (MTNews): The oath taking ceremony of I. Meyionen Jamir as Chief Information Commissioner for the State of Nagaland was held at Dr. Imkongliba Ao Hall, Raj Bhavan, Kohima on 8th February 2022. The oath taking was administered by the Governor of Assam and Nagaland, Prof. Jagdish Mukhi, in the presence of the Chief Minister of Nagaland, Neiphiu Rio and his cabinet ministers, leader of NPF legislature party, T.R. Zeliang; DGP Nagaland, T. John Longkumer (IPS); Director General, Rupin Sharma (IPS); senior bureaucrats and officials from various departments.
The oath taking and swearing in ceremony was conducted by the Chief Secretary of Nagaland, J. Alam, IAS. Meanwhile, the Ao Senden and the Ao Senden Literature Board have in seperate statements conveyed congratulations to I. Meyionen Jamir on his being appointed CIC of Nagaland.
