Wokha, July 9 (MTNews): A marathon program of Lotsu circle tour under 39 Sanis Assembly Constituency was held on Friday, 8 July by Mhathung Yanthan, Advisor Horticulture & Border Affairs, where an inaugural program of Longtsung village approach road constructed through LADP (2021-2022) was held at Longtsung Baptist Church, while a consultative meeting under Lotsu, Pyangsa, Moilan, and Pyotchu was held at Lotsu Village community hall.
Speaking at the inauguration of Longtsung village approach road, Yanthan sought community participation instead of waiting for the government agencies to take up various minor works. While underscoring the important role of the community, Yanthan called upon them to develop a sense of belonging for all round development in their areas.
Besides, he also called upon the people to forgive one another of the past rancor and march ahead with transparency in the larger interest of the community. He informed that the centre has taken cognizance of Nagaland state under the Ministry of Minority Affairs and said that under Wokha District, Chanpang and Sanis blocks have been selected under Minority Affairs where various development programs are now in the pipeline.
The advisor also held consultative meetings at Lotsu, Pyangsa, Moilan, Pyotchu and Lotsu village community hall.
Also speaking on the occasion, the deputy commissioner of Wokha, Ajit Kumar Ranjan, sought concerted efforts towards fulfilling the aspiration of the people. He further underlined the crucial roles of the public for social progress through unity and management of proper funds allotted to them.
