Mokokchung, 20 February (MTNews): The Mokokchung Municipal Council (MMC) has granted permission for the partial reopening of the MMC Complex in Mokokchung, which had been sealed since a fire incident occurred on 3 February.
In a notification issued on Monday, the ADC & Administrator of MMC, Chumlamo Humtsoe, stated that, based on the technical assessment report received from the National Institute of Technology, Nagaland, Chumoukedima, the sealed ground floor and basement of the complex’s block-2 are permitted to open their respective shops from 21 February 2024.
“Whereas the remaining floors i.e. the 2nd & 3rd floors of the building will be allowed to open only after completion of the retrofitting and renovation works which may take some time and shall be informed accordingly,” it was informed.
