Mokokchung, 11 January (MTNews): As directed by the Directorate of Municipal Affairs, Nagaland, Kohima, the Mokokchung Municipal Council (MMC) has issued a circular emphasizing the crucial role of advanced weather warning apps in preparing for the upcoming monsoon season and potential floods.

Chumlamo Humtsoe, ADC & Administrator of MMC, outlined the directive that emphasizes the need for overall preparedness of the country to deal with floods during the ensuing monsoon season. The circular urged the public to utilize weather warning apps developed by the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), namely Mausam App, Damini App, Meghdoot Agro App, and Public Observation App.

The apps are readily available for download on both Playstore and Appstore platforms.
