Mokokchung, 12 February (MTNews): Mokokchung College of Teacher Education (MCTE) Yimyu celebrated its 13th Foundation Day at the College Auditorium on 12 February 2024 with Thsuvisie Phoji, Deputy Commissioner of Mokokchung, as the guest of honor.
Addressing the gathering, Phoji commended the Principal, faculty, and staff for their dedicated efforts and shared vision for the college’s future. Reflecting on the institution’s journey since its inception, he encouraged the students to embrace lifelong learning and perseverance towards their goals. Recognizing the pivotal role of teachers in shaping society, he urged students to inspire and guide future generations towards responsibility and purpose.
Dr T Alemla Longkumer, Principal of MCTE, elaborated on the college’s history, its diverse activities, and outlined its vision, mission, and motto. The event was chaired by Imlikumla, Assistant Professor at MCTE, while Bendangnaro represented the inaugural batch of MCTE. A skit titled ‘Life of B.Ed Student Teachers’ was presented by 4th-semester student-teachers, and Dr Temsurenla, Vice Principal, invoked blessings.
