Mokokchung, 14 September (MTNews): District Sports Officer (DSO) Mokokchung, Anguvito Sumi, has informed that an Inter High School Tournament in the discipline of Sepaktakraw (Regu Event) for both boys and girls will be organized by the District Sports Office, Mokokchung in the first week of October 2023.
In this regard, all the High Schools under Mokokchung District have been requested to confirm their participation in the tournament on or before 22 September 2023.
It was also informed that the best boys team and best girls team will represent Mokokchung District at the State Level Tournament to be held at IG Stadium, Kohima from 16 to 19 October 2023.
Tournament Rules: Each team must comprise 5 players, along with a Manager and Coach. Participants are required to produce their Aadhar Card and a bonafide student certificate duly certified by the Head of the Institution during the verification process. Travel Allowance (TA) and Daily Allowance (DA) will be provided as per the Government-approved rates for those participating in the State Level Tournament.
Prizes for the District Level Tournament will be 1st Prize – Rs 5000 for both Boys and Girls and 2nd Prize – Rs 3000 for both Boys and Girls.
