In game week 2 of the Mokokchung Football League Season 4, Trebuchet FC, Terokroker FC, and Revenant FC secured crucial three points each at the Imkongmeren Sports Complex in Mokokchung on Friday.

The day kicked off with an exciting match between Wasang FC and Trebuchet FC. The latter took an early lead with Arenlong scoring a brace, one in the first minute itself of the match and another in the 11th minute, while Imnayanger added another in the 5th minute. Wasang FC fought hard, with Tsupongtsuba scoring a goal in the 43rd minute, but it wasn’t enough as Trebuchet FC claimed the victory and all three points from the game.

 

The second match of the day looked like it was poised for a draw till the first 30 minutes of the match. However, Meshenshinba of Terokroker FC, who scored the season’s first goal against Revenant FC in the inaugural match last game week, once again led his team from the front as he scored his side’s first of three goals against Senso FC. Meshenshinba, Tiawati, and Tzuktipokba each scored a goal each in the 32nd, 43rd, and 56th minutes, respectively, securing a 3-0 win for Terokroker in their second game of the season.

 

In the third and final match of the day, defending champions Revenant FC displayed their dominance on the field by defeating New Ecclesia FC with an impressive score line of 5-0. Despite a humbling draw in their first match of the season, Revenant FC made a strong comeback in the second match, earning them three valuable points and the top spot on the table, thanks to goal difference. Veteran Rongsenchiba netted a brace in the 42nd and 70th minutes, while Nokchashilu (43′), Moakaba (58′), and Aoluin (76′) contributed a goal each, sealing a convincing 5-0 victory.
