Queen Mary Higher Secondary School (QMHSS), Mokokchung, held a felicitation program for the successful students of HSLC and HSSLC Exams 2024 at the school auditorium on Tuesday with the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) of Mokokchung, Chumlamo Humtsoe, as the special guest.
The special guest congratulated all the successful candidates, emphasizing that with effort, hard work, and self-motivation, results will naturally follow. He stressed that the sheer dedication and sacrifices made by the students will not only yield fruits for themselves but also inspire their juniors and fellow students. Furthermore, he encouraged the students to strive to become responsible and useful members of society, rather than being burdensome.
Representing the QMHSS Alumni Association, Dhurba expressed gratitude towards the school for laying the foundation that shaped each alumnus’ future. He highlighted the school’s role in providing a platform for individuals to excel in their respective fields, emphasizing that while teachers and parents play crucial roles, it is the school that provides the necessary environment for growth.
Rev. Fr. Sajimon, the Principal, extended words of appreciation to the successful candidates for achieving commendable results. He commended the students for their achievements and encouraged them to remain focused and humble in their future endeavors. He also expressed gratitude to the Vice-Principal, headmistress, and teachers for their hard work, mentorship, and silent sacrifices.
The program also featured speeches from the four rank holders: Narola Imsong, who secured 1st Rank in HSSLC (Science Stream); Imtisungkum, 3rd Rank in HSSLC (Arts Stream); Marnungtet, 4th Rank in HSSLC (Arts Stream); and Chendila Walling, 10th Rank in HSLC.
The rank holders were felicitated by the QMHSS Alumni Association with cash prizes and certificates, while the school also honored the rank holders and the teachers of the subject toppers.
