Mokokchung, 4 March (MTNews): In connection with the forthcoming general election to the 18th Lok Sabha elections 2024, a one-day training for the Expenditure Monitoring Team (EEM) and Nodal Officers of Enforcement Agencies was held on 4 March at DC Conference Hall, Mokokchung.

Assistant Election Officer, Mokokchung Renben Mozhui gave a brief overview of the roles and responsibilities of the officials entrusted with election related duties for the smooth conduct of election.

Er Mechietsho Koza, EAC Chuchuyimlang and Nodal Officer for EEM presented a PowerPoint presentation highlighting the guidelines on Election Expenditure Monitoring as it plays a pertinent role to ensure that elections are conducted in a free, fair and peaceful manner.

The training session included practical insights and guidelines to enable the officials to effectively carry out their duties in monitoring election expenditures and enforcing regulations.
