Kohima, January 31 (MTNews): The election to the 14th Nagaland Legislative Assembly in all the 60 assembly constituencies scheduled for February 27 was officially notified on Tuesday with publication of the official Gazette by the Election Commission of India. Through the official Gazette, Nagaland Governor Prof Jagdish Mukhi called upon all of the Assembly Constituencies in the State of Nagaland to elect members to the Legislative Assembly of the State in accordance with the provisions of the Representation of the People Act, 1951.

 

With respect to the said election from all of the Assembly constituencies, the 7th of February 2023 (Tuesday) has been declared the last date for filing nominations; the 8th February 2023 (Wednesday) as the date for the scrutiny of nominations; the 10th February 2023 (Friday) as the last date for the withdrawal of candidature; the 27th February 2023 (Monday) as the date on which a poll shall, if necessary, be taken; and the 4th March 2023 (Saturday) as the date before which the election shall be completed.

 

The hour during which the poll shall take place has been fixed from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM on the date specified above for the election.
