Kohima, January 31 (MTNews):  The Assembly election process in Nagaland started off on a slow note on Tuesday, with no nominations being filed on the first day. The Chief Electoral Officer informed that no nomination has been received for any constituency in the state today. All major parties have yet to finalize their list of candidates.

 

It is to be noted that the notice of election for all the 60 Assembly Constituencies in Nagaland was issued by respective Returning Officers today, effectively making it the first day for filing of nominations. The 7th of February 2023 (Tuesday) is the last date for filing nominations
