Rio also stated that the sports facilities were supported by central schemes, including the North Eastern Council (NEC), the Non-Lapsable Central Pool of Resources (NLCPR) Scheme, and the Special Assistance to States for Capital Investment (SASCI) scheme.

Stating that these projects are symbols of opportunity and progress, Rio added, “They reflect our vision for a stronger Nagaland. I urge all to take ownership and care for these assets.”

The six sports facilities include: Urban Recreational and Resource Centre, Kohima; Multipurpose Hall, Longleng; Wrestling Akara, Dimapur; Mini Stadium, Englan, Wokha; Multidiscipline Sports Stadium, Shamator; and Pangting Stadium, Mon village, Mon.
