Kohima, 21 January (MTNews): Stating that the “historic inauguration of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya has been marked with festive fervour all over the country and the world,” the PRO Raj Bhavan, Kohima in a press release on Sunday said that, while it holds great significance for Hindus worldwide, it also marks a new era of spiritual and cultural significance. “The consecration of the temple in the birthplace of Lord Ram fills the hearts of many with unparalleled emotions,” it added.
It was mentioned that the seven-day vedic ritual of Pre-Prana Pratistha ceremony commenced on 16 January and continued till 21 January 2024. “The Pran Pratishtha of ‘Ram Lalla’ will take place on January 22, 2024 with PM Narendra Modi presiding over the ceremony in the presence of thousands of devotees and guests,” it added.
“Commemorating the consecration of the Ram Jamnabhoomi Temple, ceremonies are being held all over the world, including Nagaland where special programs including the live-telecast of the event have been organized,” it said.
It was also informed that the Governor of Nagaland will also be visiting the Hindu Mandir at PWD Kohima to mark the auspicious occasion.
“The Hon’ble Governor extends his best wishes to everyone and hopes that the event will foster a feeling of unity and brotherhood among everyone as we celebrate and inculcate the valuable lessons taught by Lord Rama,” it further added.
