Noida, 10 October (MTNews): Kevisanyu Peseyie displayed exceptional prowess by scoring a remarkable hat-trick, propelling Nagaland to a resounding 6-0 triumph over Jharkhand in the second match of the ongoing qualifying round of the Santosh Trophy played in Greater Noida, UP on Tuesday morning.

Nagaland wasted no time, finding the back of the net five times in the first half. Yhoto Lohe, the skilled winger, initiated the scoring with a brilliant goal, followed by Kevisanyu Peseyie’s two outstanding contributions. Haileuyibe Iranggau added another goal to the tally, and an own goal further extended Nagaland’s lead, making it a staggering five-goal margin by halftime.

 

Kevisanyu Peseyie was then awarded a penalty after a foul inside the penalty area, and he confidently converted it to secure his hat-trick and seal the match with a final score of 6-0.

 

The 20-year-old Yhoto Lohe has now netted two goals in as many matches, showcasing his burgeoning talent.

With this victory, Nagaland has amassed 6 points from their first two matches and is set to face Manipur in their third match on October 12. They last beat Madhya Pradesh with a resounding 3-0 on Sunday.
