Kohima, 14 June (MTNews): The Nagaland Olympic Association (NOA) in a press release expressed delight at the overwhelmingly positive responses it has received so far from all the participants in the global celebration of Olympic Day.
The event, themed “Let’s Move – Learn, Discover, together for a better world” is scheduled to take place on 24 June at Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima.
The following running races will be held as part of the event: 30 Meters for 4 years and above – below 6 years (Born after 1st June 2017); 50 Meters for 6years and above – below 6 years (Born after 1st June 2014); 80 Meters for 9years and above – below 13 years (Born after 1st June 2010); and 100 Meters for 13years and above – below 16years (Born after 1st June 2007).
Participants will receive their Bib numbers on 24 June between 08:00 am – 08:30 am at the venue, IG Stadium, Kohima. The races will commence from 09:00 am onwards, according to the respective categories. Refreshments will be provided to all the participants.
All participants have been requested to arrive at the Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima by 08:00am.
NOA further said the registration process is ongoing and open to all young participants aged 4 to 16 years. There is no entry fee, and the last date for registration is 18 June.
The NOA also announced that a total cash prize of Rs 50,400 will be awarded to the winners, along with merit certificate from the Nagaland Olympic Association. Each participant will also receive certificate from the International Olympic Committee.

Participants who registered by 18th June are requested to contact the officials for confirmation in case they do not receive acall on 23rd June.
