Niuland
T20 Cricket competition of the NOPG 2024 concluded on 12 February with Niuland winning the gold medal while Chümoukedima and Dimapur won the silver and bronze medals respectively. The medals were presented by Abu Metha, Secretary General, Nagaland Olympic Association. Also present were members of the Nagaland Cricket Association, Department of Youth Resources and Sports, Nagaland, and Members of the Nagaland Olympic Association. This is of significance as Nagaland is the first state to introduce Cricket in the Olympic movement after the announcement of the International Olympic Committee’s decision to introduce Cricket in the Olympic Games. This also happened to be the first medal event of the Nagaland Olympic & Paralympic Games 2024.
