The Nagaland Police has appealed to all vehicle owners using U/R or A/F number plates to register their vehicles with the respective Regional Transport Office to avoid inconvenience or fines.

In a public announcement, it stated that vehicle owners should carry relevant documents issued by the transport office in case of U/R or A/F plates.

The Nagaland Police further cautioned that legal action would be initiated, as such vehicles are not only in violation of the Motor Vehicles Act but are also likely to be used to commit crimes.
