In what promises to be a landmark celebration of Nagaland’s footballing excellence, the much-anticipated Nagaland Super League (NSL) Awards Night will be held on April 8 at RCEMPA, Jotsoma, beginning at 7:00 PM. The grand event will honour the best performers of the inaugural season of the NSL.

“This prestigious event will honor the outstanding performers of the 1st Nagaland Super League, celebrating their exceptional contributions and remarkable achievements on the field,” the NSL announced on Friday.

The event will feature the presentation of top accolades across multiple categories, including the coveted Golden Boot, Golden Ball, and Golden Glove, among others. Nominees for these awards were shortlisted by the Committee of Jury for Nomination and Selection, based on a rigorous statistical analysis of the season’s matches and performances.

The NSL has also introduced a new honour—The William Koso Award for Best Coach—named in memory of the late William Koso, a respected figure in Nagaland football. The winner will receive Rs 2 lakh and a meritorious citation.

“Henceforth every edition of the NSL will honour his contributions to the game through this award,” the NSL stated.

Media & Fan Recognition:
To acknowledge the essential role of fans and media, special awards of Rs 10,000 each will be presented for:
· Best Social Media Franchise
· Best Social Media Player
· Best Social Media Fan
· Best Influencer
· Special Fan Awards for the most passionate supporters

With the spotlight on Nagaland’s footballing stars and the people who fuel the game’s spirit, the NSL Awards Night is set to be “an evening of celebration, camaraderie, and recognition, highlighting the spirit of football in Nagaland.”
