The 24th edition of the NSF Martyrs Trophy is set to begin on September 14 at IG Stadium, Kohima, organized by the Angami Students Union. A total of nine teams from Manipur have confirmed their participation in the tournament. These include Asufu Institute, Football4Change, and Tangkhul Katamnao Saklong (TKS), among others. In total, around 40 teams have confirmed their participation, according to reliable sources. Defending champions Red Scars will return to defend their title for the second time.

Sources indicate that major teams and clubs from Nagaland are expected to field guest players in their starting line-ups to avoid risking local players ahead of the Dr. T Ao Trophy.

The champion of the tournament will receive Rs 3,00,000, while the runners-up will take home Rs 1,80,000. Losing semi-finalists and quarter-finalists will be awarded Rs 40,000 and Rs 25,000, respectively. Additional awards include Rs 10,000 each for the best midfielder, best defender, best custodian, and top scorer, while the player of the tournament will receive Rs 50,000.
