Mon, 22 October (MTNews): The two nomination papers filed by NDPP candidate Wangpang Konyak and Indian National Congress candidate Wanglem Konyak for the upcoming by-elections to the 43-Tapi assembly constituency have been deemed valid.
The papers passed scrutiny, which took place on Saturday at the office of the SDO (Civil) and Returning Officer Rongsenmenla, in the presence of General Observer Patibandia Ashok Babu, as well as representatives from both candidates.
The scrutiny confirmed that the papers were in order, and both candidates were declared eligible to contest the by-elections scheduled to be held on the 7th of next month.
