Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) conducted a protest demonstration today at Congress Bhavan, Kohima, today in response to the inflammatory rhetoric directed against the Leader of Opposition, Rahul Gandhi, by the ruling NDA government. The protest, held in solidarity with the nationwide agitation called by the All India Congress Committee (AICC), drew a strong gathering of party members and supporters.
Khriedi Theunuo, Working President of NPCC, addressed the crowd, emphasizing that “Democracy needs a democratic response,” in the face of leaders spreading violence and hatred across the country. He further asserted that as long as such divisive attitudes persist, the Congress Party will not rest or tolerate such actions. Theunuo urged the authorities to take immediate steps to curb these inflammatory actions.
The NPCC leadership expressed its unwavering support for Rahul Gandhi, vowing to stand behind his leadership and continue backing his efforts to strengthen the nation.
The NPCC extended its heartfelt gratitude to all Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) office bearers, including Secretaries, Frontals, Cells, and departments, as well as District Congress Committee (DCC) officials and members, for their active participation and commitment to the cause during the protest.
