Joining the other political parties scrambling to announce their lists of candidatesas the last date of nominations close in for the February 27election, the National People’s Party (NPP) Nagaland Unit on Saturday announced its first list of candidates for the upcoming election.
The NPP, which won two seats in the last election but whose two MLAs jumped ship to NDPP, announced 12 candidates on Saturday. Imnatiba of 22-Arkakong A/C andL Khumo Khiamniungan of 57-Thonoknyu A/C were the two MLAs elected on NPP ticket in 2018.
The NPP will be fielding veteran politicians and former MLAs, including Nyamnyei Konyak, Kipili Sangtam, and Nuklutoshi from 48-Moka, 59-Seyochung-Sitimi and 22-Arkakong assembly constituencies.
