The Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA) has issued a weather outlook for all districts of the State for September 23 to 26, with thunderstorms and lightning expected in some districts on September 23 and 26.
On September 23, thunderstorms and lightning with light rain are likely in Chümoukedima, Kohima, Longleng, Mon, Niuland, Noklak, Shamator, Tseminyu, Tuensang, Wokha and Zunheboto. Thunderstorms and lightning are expected in Dimapur, Mokokchung, Peren and Phek, while cloudy conditions are likely in Kiphire and Meluri.
On September 24, overcast conditions are likely in Kohima, Mon, Noklak, Tseminyu and Tuensang. Cloudy conditions are expected in Chümoukedima, Dimapur, Longleng, Mokokchung, Niuland and Wokha. No active weather warning has been issued for Kiphire, Meluri, Peren, Phek, Shamator and Zunheboto.
On September 25, overcast conditions are likely in Mokokchung, while partly cloudy conditions are expected in Chümoukedima, Dimapur, Kiphire, Longleng, Mon, Niuland, Noklak, Peren, Phek, Shamator, Tseminyu, Tuensang, Wokha and Zunheboto. No active weather warning is in place for Kohima and Meluri.
On September 26, thunderstorms and lightning are expected in Dimapur, Kiphire and Meluri. Partly cloudy conditions are likely in Kohima, Longleng, Peren, Phek, Shamator, Tseminyu and Wokha. No active weather warning has been issued for Chümoukedima, Mokokchung, Mon, Niuland, Noklak, Tuensang and Zunheboto.
The NSDMA said weather conditions across the State are expected to remain largely settled, with localized thunderstorm activity on September 23 and 26. It said no district is currently under an alert or warning-level advisory.
