The Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) and Eastern Naga Students’ Federation (ENSF) have reminded the government of Nagaland on streamlining and rationalization of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) and Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan (RMSA) teachers of 2010 and 2013 batches.

In a joint letter addressed to the Chief Secretary of the state, NSF and ENSF said that a joint agreement had been made with the state government regarding streamlining and rationalization of the SSA and RMSA teachers of 2010 and 2013, for which the government had assured through a notification on October 18 2020 to solve the issue within 18 months.

“It is to be noted that the waiting period of 18 months will be expiring on the 17th April 2022 for which the two federations would like to remind the state government that no extension whatsoever will be entertained in solving this long pending issue. More so, failure of the state government to uphold the agreement in toto shall compel the two federations to take up befitting actions in the interest of the teaching community of the state,” read the joint letter.

The student bodies also appealed to the Chief Secretary to take up the matter in earnest and ensure that the issue is brought to a logical conclusion within the stipulated time.
