Lumami, 18 April (MTNews): The winners of the 37th Inter-University National Youth Festival were celebrated and honored at a felicitation program held at Nagaland University (NU) Headquarters in Lumami on 17 April 2024.

The event, graced by Prof. Mithilesh Kumar Sinha, Vice-Chancellor in-charge, saw the presence of distinguished guests, faculty members, officers, research scholars, and students, an update from the university said.

The festival, which took place from 28 March to 1 April 2024, was hosted by Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana. During this gathering of young talents, participants showcased their skills and creativity, embodying the spirit of unity and competition.

Prof. Mithilesh Kumar Sinha extended his heartfelt congratulations to all the winning teams for their remarkable achievements. Dean, Student Welfare, Prof. Wangshimenla, shared insights into the festival’s proceedings and highlighted its significance in promoting cultural exchange and camaraderie among universities across the nation.

As a token of recognition, all the winners were awarded certificates and shields, symbolizing their dedication and excellence. Additionally, special recognition was extended to team leaders Dr Rishikesh Fauzdar and Dr Gyati Yam, who received felicitations from the chief guest for their leadership.

The event was attended by esteemed dignitaries including Finance Office, N Albert Khizho, DDS Dr Harish Tiwari, along with faculties, officers, and enthusiastic participants. Dr Rumi Dhar, Chairperson of the Department of Law, presided over the program. Kothai, President of NUSU (L), conveyed a vote of thanks.
