Mokokchung, September 30 (MTNews): To review the ongoing progress of Medical College, V. Hekali Zhimomi IAS Additional Secretary, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare GOI visited the Medical College site along with Reena Hansdak IAS, Assistant Secretary and the officials from Deputy Director and above from the department under the chairmanship of Principal Director Dr. K. Vikato Kinimi on 30th September, 2022 where she urged the department to have the Medical College be ready and functional at the earliest.
Zhimomi while appreciating the department for the inputs of hard work and efforts for the Medical College thus far urged that the Medical College be ready and functional at the earliest for the welfare of the future scholars.
“The infrastructure, clinical set up and faculty needs to be ready as soon as possible before the visitation of National Medical Council (NMC) team,” she added, and suggested that the administrators, doctors and engineering wing should also sit for a meeting and carefully strategize the action plan before the NMC team visits.
Regarding funds and resources, she stated that it should be properly utilized by prioritizing the allocation of the funds to where the work is of utmost importance so as to “swiftly finish the project” and also to avoid difficulties with the limited resources. She also suggested that technical professionals should be included during planning.
Principal Director, Dr. K. Vikato Kinimi in his opening remarks expressed gratitude to Hekali Zhimomi IAS, Additional Secretary Union Ministry of Health & Family Welfare for visiting the site and showing concern for the department and also for the welfare of the state.
A presentation was exhibited by Engineering Wing on the project background and by NHP on Status Report on Schools of Nursing for up-gradation (GNM TO BSC).
